Hand Grip Love

Anyone else try the hand grip? 

 

I just finished a 5 day shoot using it. I don't think I'll be taking it off anytime soon. I like the extra weight and it adds just enough bulk to fit my hand just right.

While it's nice to hold, it does make the pro2 a little too tall for me. Keep knocking the upper dials when I take it in and out of my bag.

I have it... I got it in case I wanted it for use with one of the big tele-lenses. Undecided whether I'll use it even then.

 

For general use no thanks... I prefer the camera smaller and lighter and I can grip the camera just fine without it.

It's sort of ironic for me. I ditched my canon gear to go smaller and lighter...plus I fell in love with the Fuji look. Which has been great. But now that I've made the commitment, some of my commercial clients are looking at me a little funny. They're used to seeing that big rig with a big ole' 70-200 attached. That's one of the reasons I snagged the hand grip. It bulks the camera up a little bit.

 

But once they see the images they could care less.
