  1. I don't shoot a lot of street stuff but the Acros option caused me to snap a few the other day. Shot on xpro2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I actually think it looks awesome. The OP is obviously an artist. What he does with his gear should be his business. Calling the camera a 'fraud'...really? Does that mean all the pics he takes are fraudulent images? Lol. I'm loving my x70 more every day and if I had his skills I might take a crack at personalizing mine as well. Thanks for sharing that @fujiglitch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I mostly shoot primes. I have the Ziess 12, Fuji 23,35 & 90. I've noticed Lately when I'm out shooting for fun in always going into my bag to swap lenses. It opens the door for dust and that inevitable dropped lens moment. My question for any of you who own the 16-55 is, aside from the 2.8, does the 16 really look like the 16 prime and does the 55 look like/close to the 56 prime? Can it be used for portraits and still get the same results as the primes? I looked at one at my local camera store and it was a lot bigger and heavier than I thought, I imagine that's something that you overlook of the lens is a great performer. And with the upcoming sale on May 22...I'm considering going for it. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks. I used a simple 3 light setup. I had a 1'x3' strip box with a grid (vertical) on either side of the players and a small octabox (with grid) to fill their face. The lights I used on this were the Baja b4's from dynalite. I used the dynalite trigger as well. We were on the road for 9 days and the whole setup worked well. I did rent a backup xpro2 just in case anything went wrong. But my personal cam worked like a champ.
  5. Pro Rugby is launching a league here in the U.S. I was hired to shoot some initial shots and decided to give my Xpro2 a go. Overall I was happy with the performance and especially the quality of the images. I mainly used the 56 and it worked like a charm. Focus was fast and accurate. Dumped all my Canon camera gear and have never looked back.
  6. It's sort of ironic for me. I ditched my canon gear to go smaller and lighter...plus I fell in love with the Fuji look. Which has been great. But now that I've made the commitment, some of my commercial clients are looking at me a little funny. They're used to seeing that big rig with a big ole' 70-200 attached. That's one of the reasons I snagged the hand grip. It bulks the camera up a little bit. But once they see the images they could care less. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Anyone else try the hand grip? I just finished a 5 day shoot using it. I don't think I'll be taking it off anytime soon. I like the extra weight and it adds just enough bulk to fit my hand just right.
  8. Nice shot! I'm loving the Acros as well. Speaking of canon lenses I finally parted with my 16-35 II. It was a painful departure but it was collecting dust. It was reborn as a Fuji 23mm which I'm loving as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. just learning the xpro-2 can't tether. Has anyone tried the eye-FYI mobi pro as an on set alt way to review photos with clients?
  10. Just this weekend I traded my 1.4 for the new 35. I really struggled with the decision but in the end, the newer tech won. I was able to get some great pics with the 1.4, but I also missed some great pics waiting on it to find focus. I thought I'd miss the extra stop but so far I have no regrets with the choice I made. The new 35 looks like a toy but when you actually handle it, it really feels like a solid piece of glass (relatively speaking).
  11. I actually traded the 1.4 in for the 35mm 2 this weekend. It wasn't an easy decision and I would've kept both but I also picked up the 23mm. When I mounted the 35 2 I didn't think it was even working, it was so much quieter than any of my fuji lenses. I hope that tech is the future of the X series lenses. I really liked the images I got from the 1.4 but in the heat of the moment I felt like I missed too many shots waiting on it to hunt & peck for focus. Here's one of the last shots i took with the 1.4...at a friends and tried to snap a shot of his furry friend, who btw doesn't like to sit still and wait on a lens to find focus. So his nose is great! but he bounced before I got to his eyes.
  12. I posted this on another user group but thought I'd post here as well just in case... I've had my xpro2 for 2 days. I haven't done any major shoots or even really taken it through its paces. I've just been shooting around the house. But I've experienced something I never experienced with my XT-1...there have been a couple of times where my 35mm 1.4 will not auto focus. This never happened on my XT-1. I checked the lens firmware and it's up to date. I have to say, it's only happened a couple of times but knowing the lens like I do, this is something totally new that I've never seen before. By chance has anyone else run into this issue? Ive been contemplating the new 35mm but have been reluctant to give up a stop.
