Aspect Ratios of Framing Guides

Anyone know whether the projected framelines in the X-Pro 2 are just 3:2, or if we will have other options?

 

I often like to frame with a square print, or 4:3 in mind, and 4:3 is also the aspect for the Instax SP-1.

 

Of course one can guess, but this is imprecise and since these are electronic projections, it would seem like it might just be a bit of coding?

 

Failing that, perhaps just in the EVF, this must be possible there. Would be nice on a Pro camera when work must sometimes be delivered in specific formats.

I would certainly think so.

The "old" X-Pro1 has the choice of 3:2, 16:9 and 1:1.

The frame lines in the ovf/evf and lcd all take on the aspect ratio you choose. The raw files still remain full format, 3:2.

Thanks I didn't know that about the X-Pro 1, I have an X-T1.

 

OK, here's hoping for the addition of a 4:3 aspect, it would be useful, and particularly apt for Fuji given its their Instax format.

I also, have LONG wanted a 4x3 option in the optical and electronic displays for the xpro2 and x100 series.

How many other people feel similarly. I guess I'm really asking what your favorite aspect ratios are. 

For me I would use 4x3 more frequently if it was available; it would reduce the pixel count from 24 Mpx to 21, a minor

decrease. 

 

Anyone else? Fuji---please add 4x3 aspect ratio!

In the EVF, at least, it would be lovely to have multiple ratios - 4:3 and 4:5 spring to mind.
