Hi all,

Been trying to track down a real answer to this question for a while now (LOTS of searching around with no definitive answer). I was wondering if it's possible to move the focus area box around while in manual focus mode. On my X100T, the manual focus area box is stuck in the middle of the frame and I can't seem to move it around.

But when reading the online literature and reviews about the electronic range finder (ERF) feature that shows the little bottom box on the right hand side, I feel like I should be able to use the manual focus peeking on a different area of the frame than the center. Like in the photo linked below:

Am I missing a setting or have something configured wrong?

Thanks in advanced,

Adam

I think I've figured it out. If you set "MF ASSIST" to "DIGITAL SPLIT IMAGE", you cannot move the focus area box while in manual focus mode.

If you change it to either "STANDARD" or "FOCUS PEAK HIGHLIGHT", then you can move the box.

Try it out and let me know if I'm crazy, but that appears to be the usage. Is that a firmware bug?
