Hey all, my employers recently purchased a Fujifilm X-S10 with a Viltrox EF-FX2 Mount Adapter for Canon EF lenses. We've been having a problem where when we change the aperture with the dial, the focus shifts dramatically. It doesn't happen every single time, but it's often enough to be a cause of concern. It happens with nearly every Canon lens that we have and only in video mode.

You can see in the video that the focus changes and the only adjustment that was made was an aperture change from F2.0 to F2.2. The camera is in manual mode and the lens has been set to manual focus.

Has anyone else run into a problem like this? I'm trying to decipher if this is a camera problem or a problem with the Viltrox adapter. We have no reason to believe it's a lens problem because we've used it with many other cameras and haven't had these issues.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    • Equipment: Fujiflim X-M5 (firmware V 1.10). iPhone 15 pro (26.1) I am unable to properly connect my Fujifilm X-M5 to XApp on my iPhone 15 Pro. This setup previously worked without issues, but now the app only supports a basic remote shutter and no longer allows Get or Take mode, which are required for remote parameter control and shooting. I have repeatedly Initialized “FUJIFILM XApp”, re-paired the camera, reset wireless settings, and confirmed the camera is not in airplane mode, with both devices placed next to each other. None of these steps resolved the issue. Also, I am unable to update the camera firmware, as the process always fails with a “connection failed” message. I need clarification on whether this is a known firmware or compatibility issue and what the actual solution is.

    • Last day of autumn 2025. Autumn is gradual. Summer field crops slowly ripening. Cool, longer nights turn into morning fogs. Color (colour) touches here and there taking the place of flowers now resting until Spring. Then, after that slow introduction, Fall is everywhere. Winter is brash, Winter is not at all subtle. Freezing cold days and colder nights. The Sun struggles to get above the horizon. Bare fields, iced over streams and woe (‘Woe!! I say!’) to trees or shrubs holding onto leaves.

      Winter is coming.
    • For some reason, the EV dial setting does not correlate to the EV setting displayed in the viewfinder.  My XT2 used to have parity between settings such that when the dial was at "0", the viewfinder also showed "0".  Has anybody else noticed this?  I've tried a reset of the s/w but no luck.
    • just got this 1500GBP camera. NO WEBCAM...nothing works. Did anyone get anywhere with Fujifilm. Unbelievable that any company this size would not be able to make good on years old promises. Not a great start with them
