Moisture inside WR lens

Hello, I have the Fujifilm XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens and the X-T2. One of the main reasons I chose this combination was for the weather resistance. But while shooting in a light rain today, the inside became fogged. It seems to be clearing out now. Has anyone else had similar problems with a supposedly weather sealed lens? Any suggestions on how to prevent this (except for staying out of the weather)?

"Weather" resistance only minimizes water droplets from entering the lens.

Take a look at how much your lens extends each time you zoom from 18-135 . THAT'S the volume of moist, outside air you literally "suck" into the lens each time you zoom (and the little filter in the air inlet only minimizes dust, not the moisture in the air)

So when you go outside ( i.e. from an air conditioned room )and your lens is colder than the  warmer , moisture laden outside air , it will condense in the lens . So wait till the lens has warmed up to ~ the same temperature before using it.

And when you're finished with it , go somewhere where the air is dryer and "pump" the lens several times to "dry it out"

PS: this is also the reason why fungus and microscopic dirt particles wind up inside lenses over time ( including prime lenses which extend/ retract when focusing )

Thank you. Yes, the 18-135 does extend quite far, so it makes sense that it would suck moisture inside. It didn't experience significant temperature changes yesterday.
