  1. Has anyone found a successful path to open/edit Fuji Compressed RAW files on an iPad or iOS device? I've had an iPad Pro for some time and have just started looking for a mobile workflow with it. I can import the files through the Camera Roll and the Apple SD/Lightning dongle. Images show up without previews which presents it's own set of challenges. Once they are in Camera Roll then LR Mobile can see them but opens a JPG only. SnapSeed won't touch them. Affinity indicates clearly on their website they support Fuji RAW but not Compressed RAW. I'm not sure that it will even work - just seeing if anyone else has been through this. Did a forum search and didn't find anything. Thanks! CAM
  2. Does anyone know of a hotshoe flash that has focus assist that will work with Fuji X cameras? I own the X100S, X-T1 and X-Pro2. I often shoot events or the occasional wedding and can use my old Canon 580EXII's in manual or the Nissin i40 just fine. But none of these offer the benefits of the infrared focus assist from the flash. While the on-camera focus assist beam is good on all these cameras sometimes I'm shooting in very dark conditions and historically have really enjoyed the focus assist beams from my Canon 580EXII's. They just work extremely well even in almost no light. Anyway, just seeing if anyone else has run across this issue and had a solve. Thanks!
  3. I just found this thread. I purchased the 35 f/2 with my X-Pro2 and I've found them to be fairly snappy together. Different lighting environments obviously yield different results but even in low lit rooms I thought it performed well. That said, I've been using Fuji's since 2013 and have moved into the habit of manual focus in low light - that started with my X100S and I just sort of carried that habit over to the X-T1 with the 16-55 and 50-140 lenses. I've never used the 35 f/1.4 so can't really compare to that - just the zooms listed above.
  4. Hm - I've not experienced this. Bought that lens with the camera and I felt they were pretty snappy even in low light. I had bumped up my ISO to compensate but still didn't find this to be an issue. My only other Fuji lenses to compare are the 16-55 and 50-140 which are both also snappy to autofocus.
  5. The day I got mine (last Thursday) I had the settings reset literally 2 minutes after I finished setting the whole thing up! That's the only time I've seen it. I've not experienced the other bugs listed at the top of this thread (yet). I'm sure we'll see an early summer firmware update that will address many of these.
  6. All sound like good setups. I kept my 3 Canon 580EX II's and trigger them with a YN-622C-TX transmitter and use the 622 receivers. Works great - use it with an X100S and X-T1. Allows for the transmitter to change the manual flash power, groups, etc. Ditto the comments about Fuji TTL. I've been contemplating the Nissin i40 for an on-camera TTL flash when covering events/weddings/etc. Otherwise the Canon 580EX II's and triggers work perfectly for me.
  7. Yes, agreed. I picked up an X-T1 about 6 weeks ago and have done several paying gigs with it - it's great! But I have one Client who wants me to shoot aircraft interiors for him. Those have to be tripod/tethered so he can approve each long exposure shot. I had to lug all my Canon gear back out for that one! Let's not despair - it WILL be released. Let's remember how new this system really is in the grand scheme of things! Frustrating? But Fuji will come through.
