  1. I was recently on holiday in South America for 4 weeks with the Fuji XT1 and 16-55. About two weeks in, I started hearing a strange grinding noise each time I turned the camera on. It seemed to me the noise came from the lens as it was activating, but I'm not 100% sure. The noise seemed to go away a few days later, and hasn't happened since. I'm a little concerned with what that means for the lens.... it is still in warranty as I have only had it for 10 months. The lens has not exhibited this noise any time previously but to be honest, I didn't use that lens that often during that time. Am I worrying over nothing? Any ideas what it could be? edit: Found a similar question here: http://www.fujix-forum.com/threads/new-16-55-making-a-grinding-noise.49155/
  2. beautiful!!..... p.s San Sebastian is such a beautiful city.
  3. I would definitely purchase a 16-80 WR OIS. So often I find I need 'just' a little more zoom than 50, and from experience with the 18-135 I rarely need all of the extra zoom - I would rather less range, with better image quality.
  4. With my XT1 the 60mm was originally very slooowwww, however with FW 4.0 a couple month's back it is now much better. Its still not a speed demon, but its OK. More importantly, I love the IQ from this lens - my copy is sharp, contrasty with beautiful rich colours (other people call it the 'Zeiss' look and I agree with them), and nice bokeh. In terms of overall IQ for my lens collection, I'd put it second behind the magic 35/1.4. For me, I would only pay the extra for the 56/1.2 if I was sure I needed the faster aperture or was shooting in low light.
