  1. I had an X100F for years. Interesting and good. But in the end I missed the possibility to switch lenses. I bought a used X-E1. Then I got into the analog Leica M-System with a one lens setup (M4 + collapsible 50 mm Sumicron). Yet I have the possibility to change the lens when needed. A small special purpose lens always fits somwhere in a bag. So I sold the X100F and I still use the M4 as my primary camera and an X-T5 when digital, most of the time with a small Leica lens. I will eventually get a digital M-Camera. The M-Elmarit 28/2.8 is on of the smallest M-lenses ... .
  2. I didn't know about that JPG. But for me it would be handy if the "RAW including that JPG" could be updated. I don't want to bother about editing photos on a computer. I just use the computer for archiving them and I "use" the photos on the tablet where I have my viewing archive. Just ideas. Digital photography could be so "easy" or "convenient" if all those things were possible. I want the pictures, good pictures. I don't want to bother with software. Sometimes it is a little detail which can make your experience so great, or which can spoil everything.
  3. Yes I used that software years ago with an X100F, but then it stopped working, because the new software no longer worked on my computer (32 vs 64 bit). At the moment I am a Linux user on a 10 year old machine. My most modern "computer" are my phone and tablet.
  4. Hello. If I shot in "Velvia", but decide later that "Provia" would have been better, why can't the camera switch the "Velvia" setting to "Provia" in the RAW file? It is just a setting within the RAW file. Overwriting the original parameters is easier for me because I don't have to bother with additional files on a computer. Just let me save those parameters. The image won't be altered, just the parameters used later by the converter to generate the image. For me that would make sense. I don't want to lose my time because I have to boot a computer where some software is running. It could be done within seconds in the camera.
  5. I am primarily a JPG shooter, but store RAW's in parallel just for the case when I need them. In camera conversion is interesting and as I don't use RAW converters or studios, it is interesting for me to tweak individual images. I was used to do so on my X-E1 and X-T1. It was cumbersome but working. I was very confident that more features would be available on the X-T5 but NO. The in-camera RAW conversion would be perfect for me if Fuji would implement the following features (but they didn't do so in the last 10 years, so these upgrades will probably never come): The generated JPG should have the same filename as the original image + a numbered addition to the original filename. If my original file is DSCF3005.RAF/JPG and if in the evening, after a day of shooting I tweak that image in the camera, I want that one to be named DSCF3005-2.JPG, or DSCF3005-A.JPG. It is absolute nonsense to name that image DSCF3356.JPG, just because it was generated after the last shot DSCF3357.RAF/JPG. In my file archive, on the computer I can then keep or just delete the original JPG. As it is now, I have a complete chaos when generating JPG's on the camera. There is no possibility of a batch conversion ... . Why isn't it possible to define settings, and then to let the camera do the conversion on a selection of files? Or why can't I select predefined settings when I am in a conversion menu? If I want to change the parameters of 6 photos, I have to make all the settings 6-times inside the converter. And there is no possibility to save the changes in the original RAF-file. WHY? I can revert to the original parameters, when playing in the converter but I cannot save the changed parameters. Complete nonsense. And we are in 2024 ... . Again, some missing features.
  6. Less is more. As soon as you start changing lenses you will miss shots and you will disturb other people. Take the 33 mm you have and shoot discretely.
  7. I was also always someone who bought original batteries because of safety and confidence. But unfortunately I have cameras where original batteries simply no longer exist ( thank you Nikon). So I bought Patonas for my D700 and D2x. The experience was rather good. That's why I also bought the Patonas (protected) for the X-T5. I was so fed up with the missing charger that I said: no Fuji, no more money. I am so disappointed. Left the X- T5 at home today and did my train shots on HP5 today. Will spend the evening in the darkroom.
  8. I also bought that charger ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08BYB4H1C?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ) (but from a different brand: Patona). I was already annoyed, when I opened the box of my new X-T5 and then no charger inside. Fuji sells that original charger for extra $$$, but then the power adapter is missing. Why? I am buying a camera, not a phone or a tablet or whatsoever. So please give me the charger. Then I opted for the above one, together with 2 batteries. Same price than the Fuji charger alone without 2 "free batteries". No problems at all. And what's cool, that charger is "slow", 4 to 5 hours for a complete charge. So it does not fry the batteries.
  9. Hello. After years of Nikon, I started shooting vintage Leica's. Last year, just for fun I bought a Fujifilm X-T1 and an X-E1, because they were so cheap. I still regret not having done so 10 years ago. Wow. Fuji is perfect. So 3 weeks ago I bought a brand new X-T5. But something was wrong with my experience, with the T5 because I still use the other cameras. Today I noticed that the focus peaking highlights, which I use in red, do not switch off when halfpressing the shutter. I was happy to have found the mistake and started looking in the menus to configure the camera. You may guess that I did not find "the box to tick or untick". At work we checked a friends X-T4. Everything was right. After work I started searching in the PDF manual. Nothing. So I started googling and after some minutes I knew that I just had experienced my first bad Fuji experience. Reading here that people have been complaining 6 months ago, I now know that Fuji doesn't care. I fear that it was a mistake to buy the X-T5. I should have bought a used T3 or T4. I will also kindly contact Fuji. But if this will not be addressed within the next months, I will dump the T5. I also was thinking about starting a GFX adventure, but unfortunately that will be postponed.
