  1. Yes, physical dials please. Yes, I'm old, and yes, I'm old school in that regard. A 100R might convince me to invest in the big lenses and lug them around. I would even settle for a revamped 50R with IBIS- I like that idea too.
  2. Fuji Rumors article March 16, 2021... Bummer! Looks like an update to the GFX 50S, not a 100R. Too bad. A GFX 100R would have made for a very interesting camera, especially if they could get it smaller than the 50R. Maybe there is a chance they will revamp the 50R (with IBIS) and make it smaller and cheaper.
  3. You just might get your wish this year... see Fuji Rumors article March 15, 2021.
  4. Whereas the tilt screen is nice, that is, they did a great job of incorporating it into the body, I was really hoping for WR and IBS... realizing I was one of the few wanting IBS. Sure wish it got WR too. I'm waffling about the non-grip/can-buy-a-grip offering. I have big hands- I was able to make my XE-1 work with a Garziz half case (which has kept my XE-1 in great shape and improved the grip) and an after-market thumb rest. So the Fuji grip offering is nice, but what will that do to having a half case? Will the after-market people come through to combine the two? I'm still leaning toward getting an XE-4 (even though it is not WR) to get that sensor but my other desires are keeping me from committing. Will Fuji come out with a smaller GFX50R-S? I'd consider going that route. Seems my thinking is quite contradictory but I'll sacrifice the size and price and limit my number of lenses, to get IBS , WR, and the superb huge sensor. In other words, I'm not rushing to get the XE-4.
  5. Having read the December 16 Fuji Rumors story, Le Boecere may have his wish fulfilled with some kind of articulating screen on the X-E4. I think I can pretty safely say it's not going to be an RX100V articulating screen... but we never know, do we?
  6. I can't disagree with you on that, "itchy", and wouldn't be surprised if you were right. I passed on the X- E3 in hopes of a 4, so trying to stay positive on what they may come up with.
  7. Ah yes, thank you jaxphotocat... Agreed, I forgot to mention the X-E4 needs the 26 MP sensor. I put a case on my old X-E1and a thumb rest to create a better grip. I'm a big guy with big hands. Sure like the compactness of the X-E series over the XPro-3. Interesting thought about full-frame X100.
  8. No sooner did I ask if anyone had heard anything about the X-E4, Fuji Rumors says it will be coming out during the first quarter of next year! (did he read my forum question and ask someone "in the know"?). I'm going to be on pins and needles until then with my brain conjuring up all sorts of wish list items. But still, I don't want to see it overloaded with gadgets, bells and whistles.
  9. Anybody heard any further word on an X-E4? I'm disappointed the X-S10 wasn't an X-E4. (Not really liking the X-S10 - not retro enough for me and obviously not a rangefinder style. Looks like any other of its competitors. I guess that's for another discussion thread).

  13. Thumbs up to Itchy Shutter Finger. I agree with all he said. 👍 Put IBS and weather sealing on it and call it good. As "Itchy" said, "...XE users love those cameras because of what isn't on them."
  14. I was aiming for an X-E4, dang it all. Now where do I go? If you can believe it, I'm still with my X-E1. I've taken care of it over the years, it's in great shape, and it has served me well having taken over ten thousand photos with it. It was a bit small for my big hands so I bought a half case and thumb rest- that makes it darn near the right size for what I want to do. I'm a retired semi-pro. The small size and my small lenses have been great for hauling around from here to Europe. The picture quality still amazes me at 16MP with enlargements to 16 x 24 easy. But despite my love of the X-E1 I've come to the realization that it's time to move on. I was hoping upon hope that by the time they got to the X-E4, Fujifilm would have perfected a weather sealed body and IBS enough so to bring the camera in at a lower price point than the XPro-3 (which does not have IBS - disappointment!). The X-Pro3 is a little bigger than I'd like but, more to its detriment, there are so many bells and whistles on the X-Pro3, including the OVF, that I don't need and would never use. I actually even rented a GFX 50R (amazing camera) to investigate that possibility. The body is reasonably sized but the lenses are way too big (not to mention the expense of them). Can you see a pattern developing here? I thoroughly enjoy the rangefinder style camera and Fuji's dial layout. With the X-E series likely being cancelled we are running out of choices. Do I now wait for an X-Pro4 with IBS?
  15. Yes, I surely hope the GFX deals come back as I was planning on buying one. But I just couldn't get the funds together in time to beat the deadline. I would hate to see them keep the price high as that adds another $1,000 and eliminates me from buying one. I will be looking at a full frame camera unless the prices come down again. I hate to do that as I have been a Fuji user for a number of years now having come from Nikon. Is it back to Nikon now? I can't imagine Fuji would not go back to the sale prices. They were on sale for such a long period time I'm surprised they ended it, and who is going to buy a GFX now when they were $1,000 (camera and lens) cheaper. The higher prices won't help Fuji clean house if they are planning a new model. Is that what is coming (the new registered number)? I doubt it. Fuji was really smart to make medium format "affordable" and even smarter to put them on sale. With ending the sale, have they put it out of reach of many photographers now? I hope not.
