  1. Even in the past ten years, from one camera company to another, earth shaking marvels of technological progress have dazzled us salivating living beings suffering from G.A.S. (the shopping kind...!) and camera manufacturers have egged us on to buy buy buy while rubbing their hands in glee and dangling the next goody. The promise/assurance, sometimes veiled though often not, has been that the latest model will improve our photography. But has that happened? Has the general quality of photographs improved all that much in the past 10/20/30 years...? Rhetorical question...
  2. FSize reduced from 5-1MB Camera: Fujifilm X-E2s handheld Lens: Micro Nikkor 55mm f3.5 Adapter: K&F Concepts (Nikon to FujiX) Works fine. Since everything is manual, exif does not record the lens data, f-stop etc., Prime-friendly. Zooms can be used but get a bit tricky because of multitude of adjustments. Easier to handle if camera is on tripod and the clock is not ticking too fast!!
  3. I noticed with the pancake 27 mm that it was tighter than my other Fuji lenses when installed. So there seems to be a bit of manufacturing tolerance variation between different lenses and individual pieces. The focus ring on the pancake 27 is noticeably tighter too for manual focusing, but that is not the case with other lenses. Again, individual piece variation. In the published reviews some found the focus ring tight, others found it right and some even loose. Focus is sharp so no problems. If your lens is not seating in, then there could be some issues with it.
  4. Hi folks, I have two related questions regarding the X-E2s. 1. It seems that for shooting movies, the only way to do so is to assign one of the function buttons since there does not seem to be a menu option or other way to toggle movies on and off. ... 2. I was hoping that the function key assignment would get saved with the custom sets but it does not seem to be the case and the function key assignments are shared by all custom sets, in other words are independent of the custom sets. Is there any way of not using the function keys to toggle the movie-on/off operation? Is this the case with other fuji cameras as well: T1, Pro2, T20, T2...? Thanks, Ranjan
