My heart felt condolences out to you and your family. Having lost my father in the early 1980's, I still think of him often and how he helped mold my life. Your tribute to your father would make him proud. -
If you buy the one for the G-lenses (no aperture ring) you can use it with both types of lenses, with or without the aperture ring.
