  1. Last of the season. X-T2, 90mm.
  2. Another way: remove cards, place card in slot one, turn camera off then on, place another card in slot two. That way slot one is selected. The slot selected is also visible in the EVF and LCD.
  3. New X-T2 arrived early this morning. It was like experiencing the camera for the first time, but setup was very easy and straightforward having done all that with the older one. The most difficult part was getting the strap holders onto the lugs! It is wonderful to have the 18-55 on one and the 90mm on the other. I can grab either -- or both -- at a moment's notice, depending on the situation. Woo-hoo!!!
  4. I have chosen Sequential for the cards, but when I select Switch Slot, I am not presented with a choice. Lately it has been using the second slot first, but I want to be sure that the first slot is selected. Thanks!
  5. Very much look forward to hearing about your experience!
  6. Wondering if anyone has used this combo. It seems like an excellent choice for those who are wanting something small and lightweight, with better resolution (albeit much shorter reach) than my discontinued X30.
  7. For the first time since entering the digital format in April 2009, an SD card has failed. It is a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32 GB SDHC UHS-II. When I inserted it in the card reader, none of the files were useable. The error messages indicate that the file info had been truncated. I re-formatted the card in the camera and took some photographs. Everything seemed fine, but when I inserted the card in the reader, it came up blank. After huge anxiety that it was the camera and not the card, inserting a different one worked perfectly.
  8. Just ordered another X-T2 from B&H a few minutes ago. In addition to the USD 500 discount, they also threw in a Sandisk 32GB Extreme PRO SDHC UHS-I Memory Card, extra third-party (Watson) battery, and holster-type pack. Due to arrive on Tuesday.
  9. WIth the X-T3 about to be announced, and rumored to be available in late September, I am wondering about replacing my X-T1 with another X-T2. I have no need of the new "features" of the X-T3, but clearly the X-T2 was a huge step forward from the X-T1. Prices have already dropped by USD 500, and once the announcement is made for the X-T3, may drop even further. I much prefer new, or like new gear as opposed to used. Opinions and suggestion appreciated!
  10. Thanks for the suggestions! I currently have two custom banks. I am using Velvia for landscapes, and Provia for flowers, portraits, etc. I have set both NR and sharpening to -3, since as you said that can be adjusted in pp, if necessary. Highlights are set to -1, and shadows to +1 for Provia and +2 for Velvia. The results have been quite good so far.
  11. Wildfire smoke made for interesting colors. X-T1, 90mm f/2
  12. Just got my X-T2 back from Fuji repair, but they did a system reset and all my in-camera shooting menu settings (e.g. highlight, shadow, NR, sharpness, color) are back to zero. Can anyone suggest what settings might be best for landscapes, nature (e.g. flowers) and portraits? Next time I will be sure to create custom settings banks!
