When using the LCD to take a photo, if you press the focus mini joystick the focus square turns green. When you actually focus it goes to a white square. Is there any way to keep this focus square Green all the time, its much easier to see when using the LCD Thanks Michael

After a lot of hassle I now have this wireless remote working successfully on my XT2. With all the identical options etc set up on my new XT20, it wont work. After firing the first exposure it comes up with a white box saying Processing, OK. No amount of restting the wireless connections etc changes the symptoms. Its about time fuji got their act together and gave us a decent piece of software, I am sure they could do it if they put the effort in. Michael

I know you can adjust the evf, that was not the question I raised unfortunately
-
When adjusting the evf brightness control, has anyone any idea how much you need to adjust it to make the evf ⅓ or 1 stop brighter? Is the adjustment linear ? eg, 0 to 1 is the same as 1 ti 2 and 3 to 4 etc Thanks Michael

I tried to use polarising filter on the lenses today with the sun at 90 to the camera, what a waste of time. There was no way I could see any darkening effect on the skies, I was luvky to be abke to see an image in the evf. I took the polariser off the lens, adjusted it by holding it in my hand, then held the filter against the front of the lens to take the shot. Come on fuji, there has to be a better solution other than buy a second XT2 and ditch the xt20

I do not want to increase the brightness of the evf because it defeats the whole purpose of WYSIWYG With the evf calibrated to lightroom the brightness and contrast, shadow and highlight detail is what I will see in the Raw file when I open it in lightroom. Hope this helps

I have my evf setup so the image I see in the evf is exactly the same as the Raw file when I open it in lightroom, makes exposing and highlight and shadow management so accurate. I did read about an adaptor that allows the Nikon DK 19 eyecup to fit, looks good but I dont know whether it will stay put on the camera. Anyone used this device?

I love my new X-T20 but it is useless outside in any lighting other than dull. The image in the evf is hardly visible to even frame, never mind focus, especially with wider angle lenses. Put the old black cloth over your head if you remember your 5x4 days and its great. Does anyone have any ideas for a very efficient eyecup, be it home made whatever, as long as it works I am currently on holiday in the sun and I have resorted to a large black sombrero which works quite well, but its not tye thing I wish to be wearing all day. Michael.

Thanks Mike Sorry, I dont know the xt1 Is this the standard or extended size eyecup like the one available for the xt2. Basically, does this eyecup allow a better viewing than the x-t20 one? Michael

Hi everyone, Picked up my xt20 a couple of days ago. I also have thr xt2. Very pleased, a lot smaller than the xt2 but I like it. Regarding a previous vomment re the front command dial doing nothing. If you turn the exp compen dial to C then rotate the front command dial it will change the exp up and diwn by 5 stops I think. If it does nothing when you turn the dial, press it in first then try again. Does anyone know of a good eyecup that will attach, it needs one? Also awaiting the L brackets with the arca swiss mounts. Its a super body to put your wide lenses on. When I use my 50-140 I will always use the xt2 with the power booster, my preference.

Many thanks, makes sense to use the fuji ones, even though they are very expensive.

Does anyone know why the supplied Fuji charger has 4 connecter pins whilst all the chesper non OEM models only have 2?

If anyone has this item I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions please. Can the AF-L and AE-L buttons be reprogrammed for other uses on the grip? Do they always have to be the same as that programmed on the camera body? Thank you.

Hi, I am trying to purchase some cheaper batteries and charger for my XT2 that are available in the UK. I have read good reports on the Watson LCD Duo charger and their batteries, also the Wasabi range but I can not find a supplier in the UK. It is possible to order from the US but the taxes and import duties di not make it a visble proposition, Can anyone offer me a supplier in the UK or recommend a replacement battery that is available here.

I have not updated the firmware as yet as I am on location in the UK and away from my Mac which is in Seville, will do so when I return. Many thanks Michael

Adam, Thanks for tsking the time to test for me, I will have to do a bit more investigating. Michael

No, the shutter keeps firing for as long as you hold it down, at the end od 20,30,40 exposures I only end up with 3 images on the sd card.
-
Hi, My mistake, you are right, so dont understand why I only get 3 images ?
-
Mirror Mirror Does it do the same if you have CH or CL continuous set or is this in single shot?
-
Hi Adam, I agree in principle with your scenario but when I fire the brackets like that, yes I get lots of burst activity whilst holding down the shutter, but when I check my newly formatted sd card, there are only three images on it. The only way to get a second set of three images is to release the shutter then press it again. Could you please try this on your xt2 Michael
-
Hi, If I remember correctly, cant check at the moment, but when you are in the fuji app, theres are two little squares in the top left hand corner that are marked 1 and 2 that switch you to either card.

The built in wifi works well with the fuji remote app, so I was wondering if it was possible to mimick the Eye Fi SD card and use an alternate app with fujis built in wifi, to transmit pics to an ipad as they are taken. It seems a shame to have to use an sd card to provide a wifi hotspot, when we have one already in the camera. Any ideas anyone?

I have asked support at Keenai and Eye Fi if this Mobi card functions fully with the XT2. The same support person replied from both support requests stating they could not answer the question, whats going on, does this card work or is it a waste of space along with the customer support!
-
Hi Peter, If you set the power management option to OFF, this should stop the camera from sleeping but could make battery life even worse. I set my evf and lcd to be off until I look thro the eyepiece, saves battery life. Hope this helps Michael

Does anyone have experience with the XT2 and the Eye Fi Mobi card? Does it work, is it reliable, does it slow down shooting at 5fps, is the image displayed full screen on the ipad or a thumbnail you have to click? On location the cards hotspot is ideal, I only need the facility to see a large image on my ipad pro as quickly as possible after capture and to be able to email or text the image. I would be grateful for any comments you may have and if you can recommend a better solution, please do so. Michael
