I do not have the experience of these lenses but have years of exp with EF 400 5.6 and would easily consider using it on my X-T5 with the Fringer. Sharper than most Fuji glass, exceptionally fast AF and gorgeous rendering. Great deals to be had as well.1 point -

Both! How is your comfort zone with getting close to strangers? How tight do you like the framing? I personally love the 40mm full frame perspective (27mm on Fuji crop) and believe it's a fantastic semi wide for street and environmental portraiture.
