I currently shoot with an X-M1. I really enjoy it, but I knew there were some compromises and limitations going in. In particular the AF isn't Fuji's best. It's not a problem for a lot of subjects, but photographing my kids... is a challenge. I work around the limitations as much as I can, and have learned some new tricks, but I'm curious about what an upgrade in camera would give me. I've read reviews, I've looked at specs, phase detection and better firmware will probably help, but I'd love to hear about some real world experiences from people who have used both an X-M1 and one of the newer cameras. In particular, autofocus on subjects that move.

How much of a difference is there between the X-M1 and the X-T10?

Another point of reference I have is the Canon 7D. I imagine that the X-T10 is better than the X-M1 and not quite as good as the 7D... can anyone compare the autofocus of an X-T10 or X-T1 to the 7D?

Thanks!

With X-T1 and FW 4.0 people are happy to get a sharp focus with most of their shots now. You can use the camera on birthday parties with children . It is complete different to the old X-Sensor in the M1 or Pro1. But is not even 30% of what the old 7D is capable to do.
