vivizen Posted April 3, 2018 Share Posted April 3, 2018 (edited) Have you guys noticed that the X-T2 eye cup (the default one), is quite a dust magnet? It seems like the tradeoff is between the pliability of the rubber, and how much dust sticks to it. In particular, this means that when the climate gets hot and humid, the rubber gets more dust-philic. Does anyone use an alternative, or do anything to the rubber (for eg., apply some passivating coating) to reduce this problem? milandro Posted April 5, 2018 Share Posted April 5, 2018 All rubber eyecups are (and have always been I have a number of vintage ones which are just slightly better), its the nature of the beast. Just clean it or live with it. Some aftermarket adaptation could be slightly better too, but aside being an annoyance to my obsessive compulsive cleaning it is something that one can live with Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
