I own the X-T4 with the XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 and XF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 R LM OIS WR lenses.

Still very new to learning the camera but I feel know how to frame a great shot and I have always loved photography.

The first reason I'm joining the forum is to try get advice on the best free software I can use for basic photo editing my Fujimfilm shots, hoping I can get some advice here?

Rotating/straightening and cropping are the main edits I use but I have noticed that the Windows 11 preinstalled editor "Photos" is washing out some colour of my photos when I edit then resave them which is really strange (its only slight, but very noticable and not acceptable to me).

Its also strange because this issue dosent happen when I edit photos taken from my trusty old Pentax Optio or any of my smartphones with the Windows 11 preinstalled editor "Photos".

Does anyone know if this is a known issue editing photos taken on the Fujifilm XT-4 (and/or other models) with Windows 11 preinstalled editor "Photos"?

Does anyone know of any other good free basic photo editors I can use that will not wash out the colour when editing my Fujifilm XT-4 photos?

I look forward to learning more here on this issue and improving my camera knoledge and skills with the help of other interested generous users willing to share advice and experience.

If you use an Android phone Snapseed is fantastic. 

 

Affinity 2 is a full featured editor that's not overly expensive when there are offers on.

Luminar Neo is very good and easy to use but you need to wait till there's an offer on. It can then be extremely good value.
