New features request: custom menu - nikon/canon alike!

Hello folks,

 

I was wondering if we can help fuji to make a better camera, and this time -  to suggest new features!!!...
It will be great to see that fuji will listen more to customers and offer better features than competitors. Many of us are tired of waiting for canon/nikon corporations to

bring affordable features sooner...

Like:

- customisable menu... and presets: canon style, or nikon style!
Comment: it can be done using some free software and this forum to promote the presets, this way they can bypass licences from canon/nikon companies!

- square sensor! ...larger as much as lens can cover it!
Comment: ... some folks likes square format!

- faster lens for portrait photography!
Comment: they can use two focus speed to operate below f 1.2... How about f 1 lens? ... or bellow f 1?

Why would Fuji want to offer a Canon or Nikon styled menu? That's like GM offering to sell you their new car with a Ford or Toyota badge. Probably the least likely suggested change to be implemented.

 

If you like square format you can always crop, or use your iPhone and Instagram.

 

The reason there's not a faster portrait lens is that the 56mm at f/1.2 is already fast, to make a faster lens would require a bigger and heavier lens, at high cost, with a limited market and marginal improvement to DOF from the 56mm.
