Well I have seemed to found the solution. SetUp-Screen setup-EVF Brightness-Auto/Manual. It was set on auto. However, when I choose "manual" and tried to make an adjustment is said "check the finder." While this did not allow me make any adjustments the EVF was substantially brighter. Problem solved.
I wish to thank all the help I gave to myself concerning this matter. 🙄 (Actually I just got lucky before someone pointed all this out.)
I have just received a new to me xpro2. It is excellent cosmetic shape, however, using an older analog lens the EVF is quite dim compared to the OVF which is nicely lit. I mentioned the lens only for reference. Question: Is there a setting for brightening the EVF or is this a problem with the EVF?
To prevent accidental touchscreen mishaps, check your camera's settings—there's often an option to disable touch control during shooting or playback. That could save you from some future headaches.
