Hi,

I’m new to the forum, looking forward to contributing. I’m an Owner of an XT1 and XE4. When using my Xt1, Back button is something I would use taking landscape images on a tripod. So I purchased the XE4 for travel purposes and have quickly grown to love this little body. Also using it for some landscape, taking advantage of the 26 megapixel sensor.
My question is whether the XE4 has a back button and/or is it best to use the AF lock which I’m not sure will be the solution?

thanks

mark

I'm guessing you mean back button focus, where pressing a button engages autofocus, particularly useful when shooing in manual focus mode. I assigned this role to my AEL/AFL button, via Button/Dial Setting>Function (Fn) Setting in the Setup menus. The button still works as AFL, but not AEL.
