X-PRO2: Much brighter final photos than in LCD or EVF

Hello guys,

I bought Fuji X-Pro 2 at the beginning of the year and I have troubles with it from the beginning. I have tried to set it to factory settings, I send it also to Fuji Servis center, where they didn’t find any issue but as you can see in the video. If I compose all aspects so I have proper settings and photos looks good in LCD do EVF after I press shutter button the final result is much brighter than the live version. Can you help to fix this issue because on my X-T30 is everything fine.

I have last firmware in my camera and screen setup - Preview exp./WB in manual mode is set to EXP/WB. Change the picture profile also doesn’t help and this issue stay in all profiles.

The only way I could obtain this is if my shutter is not able to cope with my settings. For example if I shoot at f 1.4 or 2 and a high iso value while the light requires a higher shutter speed than my shutter setting is.

Normally when not shooting manually I have my shutter set at MS+ES and quite often the shutter speed the camera sets is is higher than the mechanical shutter can go.

Can't think of anything else

      Dear all i observed that my XT5 is quite lag while using AF eye Tracking. I want to upload video to prove but this forum not allow that. My setting: XT5 with XF 18mm F1.4 mark2 Firmware : 4.21 AF priority : Focus Pre-AF : On Sandisk extreme SD card 170mb/s Shoot in S Mode AF Eye tracking is ON Testing on street with many people, I saw that AF will be a little bit delay when I press half-shoot

      Similar problem for me! On the main screen of an app camera does connect, and some functions, which are Bluetooth related, do work (as shutter button from app, location sharing, camera settings backup). However, other functions, which rely on WiFi, don't work (such as camera live view and photo backup to phone).... Nevertheless, phone CAN connect to camera's WiFi hotspot manually (the phone shows successful WiFi connection)... but it doesn't help the app to work... Fuji please release a fix!

      Just spotted this post on dpreview (https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4764491) that describes an identical problem with the GFX100 II. Given that this issue was reported to Fuji in June 2024, I'm not expecting a new firmware for the GFX100RF to resolve it any time soon.

      Either your camera or lens is defective or you could be setting something incorrectly.  What level of experience do you have with photography?  ILC cameras like an XT5 assume the operator is skilled, and the settings allow for a wide variety of choices. If you aren't familiar with settings and modes, it's quite easy to take bad photos with a good camera. You should become familiar with your camera before accepting paid work.  For example, one setting is Focus Priority vs Release Priority. When set for release priority, the camera will take a photo as soon as you press the button. If it's set to focus priority, the camera will not function the shutter until focus is confirmed. If you set AF+MF to ON, then you get release priority, even if the camera is set to focus priority. There are many other modes that affect how the autofocus behaves. Continuous vs single vs manual mode, face detection, pet detection, etc.  Another problem is if your shutter speed is too slow, the image will appear blurry even if it is focused correctly.  If the ISO is too high, the image will be blurry even if everything else is correct. If you choose the wrong aperture, your images can be blurry.  For one of your images that is "bad", maybe post it here with EXIF data so we can offer advice?   Also, maybe watch this video

      X-T5 is a very good camera, I don’t have any issues with it and it takes great images. I would not change it for anything else that is available now, for me it works just fine. Fuji lenses are fantastic lenses. What FW version are you on ?
