  1. So looking at the tips, and the venting over the firmware.. Seems like PDAF might be the biggest pain, because it's not compatible with so many other features of the camera.. (can't use ES, FD, etc). Was getting so wrapped up in these "must do" tips before I thought about it and realized I don't spend my days chasing cyclists down the street...
  2. I finally found something yesterday... ThinkTank Trifecta10 backpack. Fits the XT-1 with a grip and hooded lens, my XM-1 with a lens, and 3 other hooded lenses. Also has a top section for other stuff. And it's still not a monster backpack.
  3. Looking at this review, and considering what I shoot, the 10-24 is a no-brainer. Being able to carry one lens that's a nice overlap with the 18-135, fits my need. Yes, some of the primes have better optical performance (as they well should) but you can't cover the range, and you can't always move a mountain or building to fit your prime WA lens... For architecture however.. the best of the primes are probably the better choice, for the corner sharpness.
  4. Thoughts on the choice here... Fuji 60 macro, or the Nikkor 105 Macro with an adapter, to go on a XT-1? (I have the Nikkor currently as a holdover from my Nikon set that I'm shedding). No AF with the Nikkor isn't so much an issue for macro work, but wondering which will be sharper, and if there's any other issues..
  5. I'll have to take a look at the canvas versions of those. My other frustration is most of the messenger bags won't fit a gripped body well either. At least if you want to leave a largish lens on it.
  6. So I'm currently using a Crumpler 6M bag, but I want to get a backpack so both shoulders can support the bag (and my shoulder slope some so shoulder bags have ever been great). Been looking at all kinds of shoulder bags, slings, and backpacks online. Thought I had finally found something with some CaseLogic bags and ordered them from Amazon, but they turned out too small, so sending them back. It seems there aren't any of the "mirrorless" bags designed to fit a XT-1 with the battery grip. Nothing is made for that. I really like the idea of the Thinktank PerceptionPro, but... the main camera pouch won't fit the XT-1 with a lens. Looks like the best choice is the LowePro 400AW, but you need to take that off and lay it down to get access to gear. Not always ideal. Anyone know of a good cross-body shoulder/sling that allows for an gripped XT-1 with 3 additional lenses?
