    Angel Islington

We made our annual pilgrimage to Islington, London last weekend to attend the Angel Festival, a great day with fun and friendly people with a mix of stalls along the canal towpath. I travelled light as I was helping my wife on her stall so took just the X70 and managed to grab some street shots as well as some at the festival. A fun day was had by one and all.

    The Cyclists

We had a cycle race in town the other evening and I wanted to grab a few images using the XPro2+16-55mm. My intention was to capture some sharp images and also some images with movement and blur. I am more than happy with camera performance and the results - they are what I wanted.
  7. Thanks Bitingly Sharp, The Xpro1 is still a great performer since the firmware update but has been relegated to backup camera as I traded some kit in to get the XPro2 (no regrets), I have also let the 27mm go as I was not using it but got a good price for it - keeping the 18mm though as it is a super performer and small.

    Tough Mudder

Thanks Steve, It was a challenging day for all competitors and a good event to photograph.

    X70 B&W

These are my first X70 images converted using Silver Efex Pro, I am very happy with the results and find the end results match those I used to get from the GR. Yet again, the X70 proves itself to be a very powerful pocket camera to always have with me.

    Tough Mudder

We had one of the "Tough Mudder" events in the park at the weekend, 14,000 entrants for it and most for charitable support. The idea was to complete a run with obstacles to negotiate and rather than a race it was to remain as a team and complete together, some very wet and muddy obstacles. I managed to get up there for a couple of hours with the XPro2+16-55 and grabbed some images that I am happy with - would have liked more time so next time will plan for the day!
  11. Some fantastic photos here and great to see the X-Pro2 stood tall amongst all the large heavy beasts. I bet there were a few XT2's around and about with X Photographers and no doubt the images will appear soon. Your images prove that you do not need the large heavy Canikons to get good shots and I suspect we will see more Pro's shooting Fuji.
  12. We were in Cheltenham on Sunday and while Sheila went off and did her shopping I had time to wander the streets and grab some street shots. I took the X70 again to see how it performs and compare using it to the Ricoh GR that it has replaced. As good as the Ricoh GR is, the X70 wins the day for me so I am delighted - thank you Fuji for yet another photographers camera.
  13. I collected my new X70 yesterday and weeks of contemplation, I traded in my Ricoh GR as I feel the X70 offers me advantages: Fuji sensor / colours Faster AF Great tactile use Superb tilting screen Fast startup and no shutter lag I am sure there are other advantages I will discover but so far it is a superb, small ( no larger than GR) well made camera. I grabbed a few images to see how it performs - nice!
  14. I was out today and grabbed a few flower images at the local allotment (XPro2 + 16-55 & 55-200mm). It was a great day so I took advantage for a couple of hours to venture out and grab a few images.
  15. Thanks Tommyboy, It was a super day, good weather, fantastic vehicles and very friendly people all having fun and being willing to have their photos taken.
  16. I was in Bristol on Sat dropping off my full frame kit in exchange for the XT2 kit, I did collect the 16-55mm f2.8 that is part of the deal so took the opportunity to grab some images of the street art event that was taking place. There was some great art on private houses, public buildings and the opportunity to watch some of the artists in action as well as some interesting people! The XPro2+ 16-55 was very fast to focus and delivered some images I am really happy with.
  17. Thanks Max, it was a great event with lots of photo opportunities.
  18. I was at the Prescott Hill Climb circuit on Sat for a pre-war event, lots of stunning cars and friendly people and when you mix that with good weather you get some great photo opportunities so I just had to take advantage of the day. Shot with the X-pro2 and the X100s and they both delivered.
  19. We have had the big airshow over the weekend but rather than join the throngs going on Sat / Sun I decided to take Fri off and a colleague and myself went to one of the Pay to View sites to grab some of the aircraft flying in / practicing on Fri. Alas it was another dull and dismal start only brightening up later in the afternoon when the flying was coming to a close - it was a day of flying between 1100 - 1500hrs with a few cancellations due to weather! Once again I took the X-Pro2 + 100-400mm and the location did not require the 1.4 tele convertor. Sorry once more for an image heavy post.
