About Me

My name is Bernd Werner Herrmann and I was born in Germany in 1949 (Moosburg, Bavaria).  We emigrated to the US in 1952, taking up residence in Philadelphia.  I now reside with my family in central North Carolina.

 

I am a Retired Marine Corps veteran with 26 years of active service, retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant (E-9).  I'm also a Vietnam veteran.  My education is a BS, Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management from North Carolina State University.

 

I got into digital photography around 1998 and have been quite active ever since.  I'm currently shooting with the Fuji X Trans system, various Micro 43 cameras, the Canon EOS-M system, and the Samsung NX system - love 'em all.
