  1. And last but not least from pic above a crop of the cat ... ;-) Not bad thinking about that the sun was going down and ISO800 just gives 1/38s with half automatic .... Here it would be interesting what raw converter could do for me ... maybe I will give it a try ...
  2. Distance about 70 meters OOC 560mm f/8 1/38s (try this without OIS ! ;-) ISO800
  3. Distance about 900 meters OOC 560mm f/8 1/240s (try this without OIS !) ISO800
  4. Weather was perfect yesterday so I had a short photo walk with family and time to test lens outside (all pics with TC 1.4 of course ;-) ... Distance about 30 meters OOC 380mm f/7.1 1/800s ISO800
  5. I can confirm the incredible sharpness of this lens, here's a "test" indoor shot only, but with birders parameters: X-T1 with 400mm + 1.4 TC = 560 mm, shooting distance = 7,5 meters, indoor, so flash on, ISO 1600, f/8 (full open), 1/30 sec (hand holded) ... It's an amazing, well built dream lens! As always the last 2-3 years coming from Fuji (e.g. 90mm f/2 !) ... Now only the 120mm macro with OIS is missing and my DSLRs have to leave ... ;-) For upload I had to resize the OOC Jpeg, otherwise you could clearly read the text on the box ! Look at the shimmering zone of tissues package coming from flash - you can see clearly surface of foil ...
  6. Thanks! Working distance for a half body shot of 2 years old kid (about 1/2 meter) would be about 3.5 meters ... 135 mm is optimal for being more discret ...
  7. Had some more time to test and play with this Bokeh Master ... now you can find pics also with Exif data ... all pics with f/2, OOC, no post production, Sharp=0 ... But all with Electronic Shutter, because you will need more than 1/8000 with f/2 when sun is shining ... Hey and X-T1 has some more speed left until 1/32000 ! Yiiihaaa! Kai Zen ! I found my new all time fav of all Fuji lenses I own(ed) ! It's just melting away ! https://www.flickr.com/photos/hightower196/
  8. Your welcome ;-) I'm no Fuji expert, but Fuji X fanboy from the 1st day on ... up to now Fuji never let me down with many different lenses and cameras ... I would wish that I could say that about Nikon also the last 4 years ...
  9. I wrote already about my opinion in another post - so here's the link ... ;-) http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/681-xf-90mm-now-shipping-at-bhphoto-“sharper-than-japanese-steel-…-it-will-leave-the-most-pedantic-pixel-peepers-speechless”-review-at-bokeh-monster/
  10. Only short outdoor test session (I have to do some garden work ;-) ... All pics directly OOC (X-T1), EShutter (f/2 and a lot of sun ...;-) no flash, no PostP, sorry no Exif (via Wifi to Pad) ... In my opinion 55-200 is the better combination with MCEX-16, because zoom will give you much more macro work range and you have IS ... and it's also that sharp ... But for portrait it's that sharp ... not good for critical models ... Background is just melting away ... this is what we know from Fuji lenses and what we want ... 11. Same here ... seems that's the disadvantage of magnetic linear af motor ... the clunking sound being turned off comes from pushing the motor construction into some rubber buffer while being stabilized by magnet when turned on ... but! repeat accuracy of focusing is very good in my first tests ... this should be the advantage of this kind of motor ... very good for serial portrait shooting ... and this is what this lens is for ... Today I will also test it with MCEX-16 which is very good on 55-200 and has even a better magnification 0,4 vs. 0,28 ...
  12. Amazon.de sold its first 3 copies in about 3-4 hours yesterday ... got mine yesterday from a local dealer via online order ... very impressed ! First indoor tests are amazing, no stabilization needed ... of course no surprise, I'm experienced on Nikon 135 f/2 D ... ;-) Now portrait shooters and dads got what they need ...
