If one of you have a 135mm lens feel free to share some samples with us.
This is the right place for it.

    Hey to everybody,

this topic is for all of you who don't have the money for the XF 50-140 and for all who love the 135mm (203mm) focal length.
It is inspired by this little test: http://forum.mflenses.com/twelve-2-8-135mm-lenses-compared-on-5dmkii-t39463.html and by the beautiful images of dv. http://ourphoto.org/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=6101 who also shared a similar topic: http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/71-ebc-fujinon-t-135mm-25-m42/

I've owned some M42 135mm lenses. If you're ever researching for such a lens there are at least three you can't ignore.

1 - Tair 11A 135mm f/2.8 with 20!!! aperture blades, 150-250 €. I've never tried the Tair because I read that it isn't as good as it seems. Just the Bokeh shall be gorgeous!

    2 - Fujinon EBC 135mm f/2.5 with 6 aperture blades, 250-350 €

    3 - Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 with 15 aperture blades, 40-100 €

    I've also owned a Fujinon 135mm f/3.5 M42. Good and compact lens for about 30 €.
    And I've owned a PORST Tele MC Auto D 135mm f/2.8 M42. Many CAs for about 20 €.

Lens  2  and 3 I still own. I will compare them now side by side. Figure out which you like more. I do love both lenses very much and will keep them.

I did some test shots with my beloved X-E2. I wanted to compare sharpness, colour, contrast and bokeh. All shots are taken on a tripod at ISO200. WB was set to auto (missed to set it manually). I set the focus when lens was open wide and then I stoped down. Didn't use focus peaking (because I don't trust it). All pics are SOOC jpegs with default settings except NR. NR was -2. Subject distance: 3m to the clown and about 13-15m to the background. Something else? Mmmmh... I think that's all. Hope you like it.
Here's a link to the Flickr set: https://www.flickr.com/gp/93978937@N07/3M354q. For further questions feel free to ask!

I'm currently looking forward to seeing a Lens Turbo II Pentax K adapter from Zhong Yi (Mitakon), it's announced but already very late. It'd be a great addition to my system because my Cupboard is full of old K lenses... However, my current always-on for portraits is a Helios 44 (M42), so my first question: Does anyone have experience with using an M42-Pentax K adapter on a Lens Turbo/Speed booster for Pentax K/Fuji X? Does it even work? Zhong Yi already offers a M42-Fuji adapter, but given the amount of K lenses I have I'd rather go with the upcoming Pentax K option, and given my limited funds not buy both.

Other than that, how's the general experience and satisfaction with Lens Turbo or similar adapters? I'm quite aware they're not nearly as sharp as the unadapted lens or the Metabones stuff, but I'm not looking for perfect sharpness in my photos anyway, more for pleasing portraits with nice backgrounds. Also, that extra stop of light would be amazing for using my favorite portrait lenses in low light situations.

Hmm....since flange distance is the same for M42 and Pentax-K (45.46 mm) I don't think you will find an adapter that will work with both (you will at least lose infinity focus).
Personally, I would go for the SpeedBooster with the shortest available flange distance (which currently is the Canon EF version - flange distance 44 mm). That way you can adapt all your lenses (and most future ones) by using cheap M42->EF, Pentax-K->EF etc "dumb" adapters (which are basically washers of 1.46 mm thickness). I know, it sounds like a bit of a hack, but it would barely be noticable on the camera.

Canon DSLRs are the most "adaptable" of the big brands, and in my Canon days I used this all the time for my Pentax/Takumar lenses. They are so cheap you can just keep them permanently on the lenses. It also has the advantage of being faster to attach than the M42 screwmount.

However, I have not tried the SpeedBooster (but want to!). Sharpness is, from what I have heard, equal to the unadapted lenses, with exception of the corners. In fact, the extra stop of light and that full frame depth-of-field is probably too tempting to resist for me in the long run....
You can read about version 1 adapted with a Helios here (MD version of SpeedBooster w/M42->MD adapter):

Do NOT even think about a zoom X100!   This would denature the concept of this camera..
    Instead, I'd like a new X100 with:
    - tilt screen
    - weather resistance
    - new sensor (not strictly necessary)

How about a pro grade x series camera.

    24mp apsc
    1/8000 shutter
    2 card slots
    2 batteries
styled like xt1 with battery grip
    faster af
    12 fps
    more rugged than xt1

I would 100% buy that, it will go great with the larger pro lenses they have been making recently.

WOW, I just got an amazing rumor from a source, who was right in the past. Can't share more for now, since I still have to write the text (I'll write it after lunch), send it to the source for review and wait for its “OK”. Just stay tuned on FujiRumors and the Fuji X Forum.

But I tell you this... we could need a New Camera Section (!!!) here on the Fuji X Forum!

btw, I wrote this thread during coffee break... as you can see in the Selfie I share here with you (used WiFi remote control)
