I have an x100t and I can move the box, even while I'm in manual focus. I only need to push the focus point selector button (the down arrow in my case), select the desired point and then focus.

Thanks! It wasn't easy, but the race is around 30 laps, so I had enough time to get the right shots.

Just got back from a cold walk. It was -19C and no issue with my X100t, only the battery that have lost their charge. When I come home of those kind of cold, I just make sure to keep my camera in the bag for some time (around an hour) to avoid condensation.
