I am facing the same issues as you guys.
New to photography and Fujifilm. Received my X-S20 on 20 July.
Charged it up and the next day, I was figuring out the menu page. After 15 minutes, the yellow temperature warning light came on. I thought it was strange. Googled it and read that it could be due to excessive use of the menu.
Tried shooting with it the following day. Only stills. The camera was on all the time. I was toggling between viewfinder and LCD, and the temperature warning comes on after about 20mins. (I felt I was using it normally, but is this an incorrect use of the camera?)
Anyway, I was intentional about the tests after and logged my use. On the average, for stills, it lasts about 20mins. For video, shot 4k, ambient room temp in about 30°C: yellow warning after 10 minutes, red warning light about 5 minutes after. Camera shuts down after 15mins.
I love using the camera and really want to have fun experimenting and enjoying it. However, this rapid overheating warning issue is really a bummer and is restrictive.
Have to be really mindful when shooting stills (my friend told me that I can't constantly check my shots). This means it is also impossible for me to record a subject for a video interview (usually lasts at least 1/2 an hour), or experiment with ideas such as time lapse videos..
If anyone has any experience or advice, would be greatly appreciated.
For those of us having this issue, I hope we can have it sorted. Thanks guys!
