Two valleys begin from Courmayeur: to the south-west Val Veny (wilder, famous for the two glaciers Brenva and Miage), to the north-east Val Ferret (more touristy, under the wall of the Gran Jorasses). Geographically, the two valleys are therefore one continuation of the other and border the Mont Blanc massif -
