XPRO-2 with Cactus V6 and Cactus RF60
quietlight replied to quietlight's topic in Flash Photography with Fuji X
Well, matters resolved. It was me screwing up on the Cactus V6 trigger setup. I reset and did the setup over and everything is working well at 1/250! Thanks for all your help. -
XPRO-2 with Cactus V6 and Cactus RF60
quietlight replied to quietlight's topic in Flash Photography with Fuji X
It's probably user error on my part. I suspect that I don't have it set up properly, either the camera or the flash system. The fastest sync so far is 1/200, but not the published 1/250. -

I have the XPRO-2 set at mechanical shutter. -
I'm not able to sync at 1/250 with my Fuji XPRO-2. No darkened bottoms at 1/125 however. I'm not sure I have things set up properly. Thanks for your help!

My XF50-140 seem to be miss-focusing more than usual. Could that be as a result of when I recently updated the lens with firmware 1.21, I forgot to take off the 1.4 converte?. The info says I updated successfully, so perhaps it's another issue. Thanks for your help

XPRO-2 warming
quietlight replied to quietlight's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
Excellent review. Thanks for the thorough testing and conclusions. I am confident that Fuji will come up with a satisfactory solution, hopefully via firmware. Thanks, EyesUnclouded ! -
XPRO-2 warming

Deva: Summer is around the bend. It's low 90's in the desert and so far the X-Pro2 doesn't get too warm. When it hits 110, we'll see how the camera holds up. Cameras that have passed the test in the past are 3-4 Nikon DLRS, Fuji X-T1 and Fuji X100-T. -
X-Pro2 and Radio Triggers
quietlight replied to James Conley's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
The Cactus trigger/receiver works great and Cactus speed lights have built-in receivers. -
Let us know how that works out nathan.mardin. I will give it a shot as well. Thanks.

Sounds like most of us prefer the color rendering of the LCD to the EVF, but which is the most accurate? Compare the EVF, OVF and LCD and determine which is closest to our calibrated monitor for on-the-spot color accuracy. Whatever option you choose will never perfectly match your calibrated monitors, but it's at least as close as we can get at this point.

XPRO-2 warming
quietlight replied to quietlight's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
I've borrowed two other X-Pro2's and they both exhibit the same warming tendencies, so for now I'm accepting the warming as being normal. Quoting Rico Pfirstinger, "As long as there's no overheating warning, there's no problem." -

"Nonetheless Fuji! That does not mean your customers should have to live with this. Perhaps optimize the CPU to not get as well or whatever is causing the warmth." – Aswald Agreed! -
XPRO-2 warming

Thanks for the input Vince. I'm starting to think this might be normal, but I'll keep testing and keeping my eye on the situation. Fuji indicates it's normal, but has no explanation as to why it is so. None of the past X-series cameras have that issue. Nor did my Nikon DSLRs. Because of the initial bugs and quirkiness of the X-PRO 2, my confidence level is not what it should be. Love the camera none-the-less! -
XPRO-2 warming

To those who have XPRO 2s, but no issues with heat, please say so as well. I just want to know if warming is the norm l, not the exception. THANKS! -

So this is normal? -
I love this camera, but I noticed that the camera gets "warm" after light usage. Is this normal? I've never experienced it with any previous Fuji cameras {X100T, XT-1, or any cameras previously.) I'm not talking overheating... just the camera getting a bit warm. Thanks for your help.

Captured by a XT-1 and XF 50-140 f2.8 earlier this week after a storm passed through Palm Springs, CA.

There's a dimensional quality to the images produced with the 50-140 that is hard to describe. It's a great lens!
-
Try setting it on LCD only and see what happens.

"Only the user who has CD-ROM "Tethered Shooting Software HS-V5" can use this updater. This updater updates HS-V5 Ver.1.1." To confirm, I must first purchase the plug-in from Adobe exchange, then update it on the Fuji site?

How does the IQ of the Voightlander on the X-T1 compare to the 5D II?
