  1. I'm definitely going to get a copy of the repair report and findings. That way I keep it on record.
  2. Hi Mike What type of repair was it?
  3. I wish I had been given this option. Under warranty I think you should be given a loaner if you did not cause the damage. On the other hand you spent $1000 on a lens and the repair centre says your repair will take over 5 weeks where the item needs no parts replaced. I'd say for a hobbiest that makes me think maybe I should just get an iPhone. Can you imagine how long it might take of I sent in my 50-140? But at this point I hope I can get some late summer shoot in if they send back my lens in two weeks. Thanks again for the support everyone.
  4. Thanks for the feedback. Its kind of annoying to me that I have only shot indoors for 2 months (under 100 shots) with this lens when i noticed it. I've had Canon lens for over 10 years and never had to send it in. So hoping this is a one off. I'm kind of laughing at myself that Henrys Photography sent it out as a rush instead of replacing it. But lesson learned.
  5. Hi, I have a Fujinon 16mm f1.4 lens which had what looked like dust on the rear element. I sent it in on June 20 (received June 27) into Fuji Repair Canada in Mississauga. Pretty much after talking to support they thought it would take till July 26. Now I contact them and they are now quoting the week of August 7. Just wanted to get the community feedback on what my expectations should be. Thanks Randy
  6. Hi, I've been a lon-term hobbiest in the Canon world since 2003. I went from a Canon G2, Rebel XSI and then finally to EOS50d. I wanted to go full frame but really did not see the right Canon camera for me but the Nikon D750 was close. After watching Fuji for the last 2 years I decided to jump for something different. I'm not fond of equipment changes. I'm more a technique kind of guy. I just started reading the forums in December and decided i should say hi. I like to think of myself as a story teller. So my goal this year is to continue to use my camera to share my stories and experience. Play it forward in the forms. You can find some of my stuff here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/randy_ramkissoon P.S. Soon as I unlock my yahoo account i will post more photos.
  7. Welcome to the forum. I also recently joined after making the full switch from Canon in December. I'm struggling my way through to feel more fluid in use. I really appreciate the electronic view finder. BTW I'm in Toronto.
