  1. I purchased a Fuji X-3A primarily for use as a low cost back up to my X-T20. Overall, I like the X-3A and it does make quality images. However it does have one major failing, at least for me. It will not trigger studio flashes via wireless triggers or hot shoe sync cord adapters, and I've tried several. I have never had this problem with any previous cameras. The only way is to use the built in flash as a trigger. No where is this mentioned in either the instruction manual or published specs. I realize this will never be an issue with the average buyer of the X-3A camera, but I thought I'd make this post as an FYI.
  2. I would send it back immediately.
  3. Always get the most expensive lens you can afford. If you can afford the 56mm but settle for the 50mm, you'll always wonder what you're missing out on and sooner or later wind up buying the 56mm anyway. I managed a retail camera shop for over twenty years and saw this happen time and again. They are both great lenses and either will get the job done.
