  1. Hi all, not sure it's the proper place to ask but-- My son has an X-T30 and I'd really like to get the following book for him: The Fujifilm X-t30: 125 X-pert Tips, by Rico Pfirstinger. I have the "X-Pert tips" for my X-Pro2, and it's great. I believe the X-T30 edition was announced quite a while ago on Fujirumors, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I end up wondering if it was ever published. Can someone tell me more about it? (Or point me to a similar book) - TIA, Daniel
  2. Thanks for replying, I really do hope it will work straight OOTB. I'll keep an eye on the firmwares when these new lenses hit the market. But I've got the feeling that the X-Pro2 is about at the end of its rope with respect to firmware updates (no more memory?...) OTTH, I'm not after the ultimate AF speed, just the hassle-free use of a recent lens (with weather sealing!)
  3. Hello dear forum members, I have an "old" X-Pro2 and absolutely no plan to replace it with an X-Pro3. However, some of the latest lenses really say hello to me, e.g. the 18/1.4 (most certainly), and perhaps the upcoming 33/1.4. Do you think these newer lenses will work well on the X-Pro2 without a (highly unlikely) firmware update? TIA - best regards, Daniel
  4. I second Herco's reply. I had this issue on a 90mm. Very weird. The seller told me (and showed me) that this particular lens worked well on just about any other camera... I ended up having it replaced; no problem thereafter with the other copy.
  5. Well, it's not self-solving at all. It happened over and over again. So I sent the lens back (so much for using it in Iceland this summer).
  6. Hmm... Unlikely: I received the lens with firmware 1.00. It had the problem. I applied firmware 1.01 (which I had downloaded prior to Fuji withdrawing it -- I understand that there's no problem with this firmware and my X-pro 2). The problem was still there, albeit perhaps a tad less frequent. I've got the feeling that, the more I use the lens: mount, unmount, play with aperture, the less frequently the problem occurs. Self-solving problem? I'm puzzled.
  7. PMFJI, but I just received my 90mm and I have the same kind of problem. The aperture ring doesn't seem to register fully, typically giving f/2.2 on the display with f/2 set on the ring. So if I turn it: 2.2 -> 2.2 again -> 2.5 -> 2.8, or conversely. At times it's an aperture between f/2.8 and f/4 that is displayed twice. I can't say it happens every time I mount it, it even tends to occur less and less often. So... Electr(on)ical or hardware issue, or just poor contact? Do you think it justifies sending the lens back? TIA for any advice. Best regards, Daniel
