  5. Hi folks, Before starting the trip driving my car up north in Spain, I obviously had to think about what gear I should take with me. My goal was clear: I wanted to shoot original landscapes in the north coast of Spain, specifically in the province of Asturias. Nowadays I am a Fujifilm photographer, which means two things: firstly, I am highly proud of owning a Fujifilm gear, which is outstanding in terms of quality and shooting experience, and furthermore because I’m in love with the quality and design of my FUJIFILM XT-2 and my lenses too. I knew I would mostly shoot landscapes, so before going up north to Asturias, I took a good decision: I sold my small and sweet pancake Samyang 12mm f/2 and then, I bought the legendary FUJI XF10-24MM F/4, and yes, it was a great. The XF10-24mm is more convenient for landscape photography; the focal range helps to reach far scenes where it’s impossible to get with a prime 12mm lens; for example shooting rocks in the water during a high tide. 8. Hi folks, Last weekend I picked up my Fuji XT-2 and the Samyang 12mm and I went to this place: Hoces del Río Duratón Natural Park. If I had to choose one of the most beautiful nature spots in Spain, doubtlessly I would recommend visiting Hoces Del Río Duratón Natural Park in Segovia, which it is located about 1 hour and 30 minutes driving distance from Madrid... 13. If I had to resume my travel to India and Nepal in one word, it would be intense... The purpose of the trip was simple: On one hand, I wanted to meet those amazing countries, discover their most beautiful places, and learn about their cultures. On the other hand, I wanted to carry out a personal photography project. Yes, I had been cooking a project in my mind for a couple of months: I wanted to take pictures of scenes from everyday life of local people. The great photojournalist STEVE MCCURRY has been a great inspiration for me. I coincide with his perspective and style of shooting pictures. I like to observe unknowns walking on the streets while I am composing a photograph in my mind. I normally have a previous idea of what I want to do, so I just have to find the location of the right place, and then just wait for picturesque people to carry out my plan. Before departing to Asia from Spain, I had to choose the photography gear for this trip. Fortunately, I was already aware about not taking too much weight as I would be backpacking Asia alone for a month, and believe me or not, when you are backpacking it’s very important to feel comfortable and agile. So I finally decided to pick up my two favorite Fuji lenses for traveling: the XF16MM F1.4 R WR and the XF35MM F1.4 R. Both lenses attached are my favorite combo to cover all the photography needs and face any photography challenge a long this trip. My camera is the FUJI XT-1, so I already knew that all my photography needs would be totally covered. 19. Hi folks, Yesterday I've spent the whole morning looking for picturesque everyday scenes on the streets of Madrid. Fortunately I found interesting scenes to shoot: pedestrians, homeless, jugglers or mime street artists have defined the following photographic serie. I used the XT-1 + XF35mm f/1.4 R. I am always happy with this combo, enough for street photography. Perhaps the 23mm would be useful too, but I don't have it and it's always uncomfortable to change lenses while walking. Please, come check out my site on the following link, thanks!: www.josecarpin.com
