  1. Such companies should just be left to their fate and make room for new ones.
  2. Any news on this one ? I am very tempted to buy it if it comes out.
  3. x-large sensor would be great !
  4. I'd like to have an X-E3 so I voted for "Another Fuji X"
  5. Correct. 18mm f2 length = 40.6mm
  6. Incorrect. It should be about the same size with 18 if not slightly smaller. http://192.163.218.51/~jamesmf7/jamesmaherphotography/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/fuji_x100_take_apart-26.jpg
  7. Well then check the size of the current 18mm f/2 and 27mm f/2.8. They are still much lighter (18mm = 116g , 27mm=78g) than the 23mm f/1.4. Both combined almost half the weight of the current 23mm, not to mention the size, yes they are considerably smaller and lighter.
  8. Check out the size of the X100t lens. Optically it is possible to make a lens that small in 23mm with f.2 aperture for the x sensor.
  9. 23mm f/1.4 is a 301 gram lens and has no WR. 35mm f/2 has WR and is only 170 grams. And the price difference is massive. For some people these 3 factors may not be so important and for some others they may be extremely important, hence the hype. Many people care about these factors.
  10. I have 4 Fuji lenses and I am very happy with the quality.
  11. Considering Fuji's take on 35mm this one also gives me high hope.
  12. Oh wow! I can't wait. This is huge news.
  13. I didn't know about the mockups. Where do they publish them ? Do they put them online or do they publish these mockups in some other medium ?
  14. I was considering to get one of the available lenses until this is released but then 23mm f/1.4 is too heavy and too expensive, 27mm f/2.8 is too narrow. So, I hope sooner than later
  15. Apple has released macbook air 7 years ago. By the time it was almost unimaginable to manufacture such a thin design while maintaining the heat dissipation from the cpu. Consumers may like it or hate it but from industrial designer's perspective it was a genius design. I think it is not irrational for a Fuji lover to expect a such high design standard from Fuji. In the end, it would not only benefit the consumer but it would also benefit Fuji in the era of fierce competition.
  16. Ahem, I mean similar price to 35 f/2
  17. You can not build a strong building over a weak foundation. Foundation and the architecture are at some point inseperable and interconnected. Like the photo and the post process. I think you can not go wrong if you excel at both.
  18. No for subscription model for me as well.
  19. Hi guys, I was wondering which adapter works best to use Canon lenses on my Fuji XE-2. Recommendations/Opinions much appreciated. Thanks
  20. The current 23mm is too heavy and too expensive. The weight is the major factor. It would be great if they did what they did for 35mm. I am even willing to pay a similar price for a smaller lighter 23mm f/2.0 WR.
  21. I really can't wait for this lens!
  22. Instax is a product of a genius in this digital era, I am not at all surprised by its success. It is a fun product, it has a strong potential to become a hype machine and it requires consumers to consume the sheets.
  23. Here's my wishlist for X-E3, and I would buy this camera in a heartbeat and never look at others : - Larger EVF - 24MP X-trans3 sensor - Weather Sealing - ISO dial (along with the shutter speed dial. If only one is possible I would prefer the shutter speed) - Same form factor
  24. If it would be like the 35mm f/2 WR, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
