Regarding optical quality: I found this German thread with some actual photos taken with (a prototype of) the 50mm f2: http://www.fuji-x-forum.de/topic/30611-beispielbilder-xf-50mm-f20-wr/ Looks like it has similar close focus characteristics as the 23mm f2 WR. There is always a tradeoff... (FWIW, I have the 23mm f2 and I love it).

Just a heads up: Capture One was just updated to 9.1.1, featuring "preliminary X-Pro2 support, lossless compressed not supported". https://www.phaseone.com/en/Download.aspx I knew I should not have been shooting compressed RAFs these past weeks… :-( At least I can process my future X-Pro2 images (which I will be shooting in uncompressed raw for the foreseeable future) in Capture One.
