I hope you are able to get this working in your favor. As a bonus, the card readers mostly are faster and easier ways to move images from the camera to the computer.

Hi. Thanks for the responses so far. I did see that you can buy an external card reader, and they start at quite a reasonable price! That said, I was trying to avoid buying something in order to complete what I would have thought should be such a simple job, particularly as I am not sure I will have any further use for the card reader once the firmware is updated, particularly if I can then use the new XApp with my camera! That said, if all else fails...

Hello there! I want to use my smarthphone as a wired camera monitor. Does anyone know how to manage that? The Xapp works wireless but it uses only a small part of my phone screen and it is smaller than the camera screen. I want to use full screen of my phone. -

Hello everyone, I’m trying to use Fujifilm X RAW Studio with my X-M5 on a MacBook Pro (i5, USB-C). I’ve installed the latest version of X RAW Studio and granted all permissions. My camera’s USB Mode is set to “USB RAW CONV./BACKUP RESTORE”, and I’ve tested with several USB-C to USB-C cables, including proper data transfer cables (not just charging cables). The camera charges, but X RAW Studio does not recognize it. I also tried switching the camera’s USB mode to “USB Card Reader”, but the Mac still doesn’t see the camera. It seems like no data connection is established at all. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with the X-M5? Could this be a firmware compatibility problem, a macOS driver issue, or possibly a hardware fault with the camera’s USB-C port? Thanks in advance for your help! -
I’d suggest emailing the FujiFilm support organisation in your location
