video in X-T1

Guys, 

I am close to buying X-T1. I am very impressed with pictures from this camera and I leaned everything I can about it. 

 

However, I have a question about video from this camera.

 

- is it good enough in comparison to ordinary HD consumer camcorder? I have Canon Vixia now and wonder if I will still need this?

 

- what is your workflow for handling video from this camera? 

 

I do all my work on Mac Pro. I would like to be able to edit short (2-3 min) snippets from my video and put them into my iTunes library, so that

I can show them to my guests and relatives with out subjecting them to the long and boring home videos.

 

Please, share with me your ways to handle videos?
