This has probably been asked a bunch of times already, but I'm really struggling to decide between the x-t3 and x-t4.

Is the x-t4 worth the bigger price-tag? I realise it has the IBIS which is probably the only main advantage. I've also read some disappointment with the built quality of the body.

I was already settled on getting the x-t3, especially at the promotional price, but all my local retailers are out of stock and don't anticipate shipment till at least May (I've been on the waitlist since Aug) so am looking into other alternatives, and the x-t4 seemed like the natural direction.

My plan is to initially couple this with the new 10-24, and wait for the 70-300 lens (which hopefully gets released soon!). And I might look at the 18-135 down the line.

And if I do go with the x-t4, is it worth waiting for any post-Christmas sales? Or is it too new to be included in any sales (including Fuji's next promotional offer)?

Background - I used to have the Canon 80D (with EF 70-300, EF 50, and Sigma 10-20) but really wanted to switch to a mirrorless system for weight and size. I mainly shoot landscape and wildlife. But need something that makes sense to carry on multi-day backpacking trips.

Any thoughts / suggestions would be most welcome :)

Maybe add the X-S10 in your candidate list. It has a nicer price-point. On the other hand, consider what IBIS does to battery life and make sure you are willing to have spares.

I am waiting for the next generation sensor and processor and will switch back to an X-Ex or X-PROx but that is just me.
