I am interested in the XF150-600, but an important feature for me is the 4 “Focus Control Buttons.” How accurately does the lens return to the preset focus under various conditions? I am a budding astrophotographer. Focusing on stars is always challenging, and nearly impossible with a slow lens. I understand the Focus Control Button on the XF150-600 remembers its focus even when the camera is off or the lens is removed. Ideally, this would be perfect for astrophotography – focus on infinity during the day, save it, then return to the preset at night. So, I think there are a few related issues to discuss: 1) How accurate is the focus when recalled? 2) What happens if you change the zoom after storing the preset focus? 3) How temperature sensitive is the focus? There would often be a significant temperature drop between saving the preset during the day and nighttime recall, so even if the lens is returned to the exact position, temperature changes might change dimensions that could change the actual focus. Does anyone who has used this function have thoughts on this? Thank you in advance, parkerea

I just received the fuji xf150-600 lens and have yet to get the set/preset buttons working. I must just be misunderstanding how to use them. I focus on a distant object in AF mode (infinity), then I press the 'set' button. Then I focus on a closer (30 ft away) object and press either of the buttons close the then front of the lens and I expect the focus to jump back to the far point but nothing happens. I have the AF-L/Preset/AF switch ON the preset mode. I've also tried the 'set' key in AF and MF modes.
