I've owned the XF100-400 for six months and been delighted with results for stills.
Yesterday, for the first time, I shot footage with it on an X-T3.
On playback, there were dust-like marks throughout the whole footage, making it unusable. Stills were fine.
I checked the lens again using an X-H1, exactly the same applies, and same again with or without the X1.4 teleconverter. Irrespective of video settings, the marks are there.
Testing today, by pointing the lens to a pale blue sky, I noticed the marks through the viewfinder when switching from stills to video (hadn't picked up on that yesterday). Switching back to stills, no marks visible in the viewfinder.
Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone know of a solution?
Thanks and regards.
