Firmware Upgrade for the X20

I thought there was a firmware update recently to allow the X-x0 to be able to download photos to a Windows 10 computer. -
If I understand your question, I believe the X30 uses the same lens shade as the X10 and X20 which have optical viewfinders which would be blocked if the lens shade was solid.
