  1. aaaaah, the fix was simple. it was connected to the flash settings (a user in a german speaking fuji forum pointed it out). i have to turn off the flash compeltely in the menu. it was set to "M", and since the camera is not able to use the electronic shutter with a flash it never went over 1/4000s. turning the flash off completely makes the M+E setting behave as expected.
  2. Hey everyone, i am a Fuji User for a couple of years. Owned my x-s10 since launch and loved every minute with it. Recently i finally got my hands on the x-m5 as a family kind of camera. I enjoy using it a lot. However, i am used to shoot on M+E shutter on my x-s10, since i exclusively shoot fast primes and in the summer i rely on that quite a lot to not overexpose my images. i am aware that not everybody enjoys the electronic shutter, thats fair but for my kind of shooting and workflow it works a treat and it really hasnt let me down so far on my x-s10. on my x-m5 this settings seems to refuse to do literally anyhting. it will only go higher than 1/4000s of a second if specificially choose electronic shutter only. but i want it to only use electronic shutter when there is to much light for the mechanical shutter. am i the only one with this issue? i am on the latest firmware (v1.10). i have played around with it extensively and i am out of options. as a comparison here is how it works on my x-s10 vs my x-m5. x-s10 M+E: https://streamable.com/9v916z x-m5 M+E: https://streamable.com/rfon55 (i am shooting in to a small video light for demonstration) does anyone have a clue how i could fix this? its such a hassle to manually switch around between electronic and mechanical shutter for my workflow and its lowkey driving me a bit insane. already "destroyed" quite a few shots over the easter weekend and i am strongly considering sending the camera back if i cant fix this.
