Thanks again. In my case, I found out my smartphone display setting was set with "adaptive brightness" on. Once I disabled that and adjust the brightness level of my smartphone, the discrepancy issue was resolved.

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean the playback of the photo from the LCD screen is not the true image of the photo taken? Seems strange that the transferred image on the smartphone is truer than the photo image on the playback camera screen??

How come the photos transferred to android smartphone through fuji X app appear darker than on the display screen on the X100VI camera?
