Hi all,
I've been using my Tamron 18-300 on my X-T5 without any issues - I find it great as a 'holiday' lens when I want to take photos but don't want the hassle of changing lenses throughout the day. This afternoon I put the lens on my wife's X-T20 for the first time (Tamron site confirms it is compatible with the X-T20) and noticed the following: When focusing on the subject and half pressing the shutter button, focus locks as it should. However if I decide not to take the photo and release the shutter button the lens sounds as though it is hunting for focus for about one second to two seconds before going quiet. The rear screen flickers during this time. This doesn't happen on the X-T5. The camera is set to single point focus, single shot.
Has anyone else experienced this and is it a problem?
Thanks,
Ian
