I think I know what you mean now. I noticed the STRONG grain setting in the raw file when I was using X Raw Studio. On other software like Windows Image viewer or Lightroom the grain effect is not showing at all. Mystery solved!

I've read somewhere that Dynamic Range settings (100% - 300%) has an effect on the RAW file as well as the Jpeg, but in what way? I haven't noticed a difference to be honest. But what about other settings, like Grain Effect? I did some test shots and I did notice an effect on the RAW files, am i imagining this or could the be an issue with the processor? And finally NR, does it affect only the Jpeg or the RAW files too? Thanks for any clarification. X-E3 user.

Hey all Proud owner of an X-e3, my first Fuji and I love it! I'm puzzled by one thing though: how do I shoot in standard jpeg mode without being in a custom mode? I've filled all the custom settings slots (1 to 7) with recipes, but it seems to me I'm always on a custom set, how do I bring the camera back to its default settings? I know you can reset a BASE custom set without loosing the original set, but it seems a little convoluted. So is there a way of quickly coming out of custom sets? Thanks for any answer!
