  1. I have realised what the user manual is referring to. Light Bulb moment. When it says ‘move the selector left or right’ It means that you use the selectors either side of the Menu/OK button and not the compensation dial. It is possible to add compensation after all. Relieved. I’ve now removed my Sherlock Holmes hat and pipe. NPS
  2. Thank you for your replies. Very helpful. I was confused by the owners manual. Page 36. Quote: Shutter speed can also be adjusted in increments of 1/3 EV by pressing the selector left or right. I shall continue to enjoy Manual mode! Regards NPS

  4. Good afternoon I am a hobby photographer. I’ve owned an X-E1 since they were released nearly a decade ago. I have two Fuji lenses. I usually use the camera in P, S, or A modes. This has given excellent results. I have tried to be more adventurous this year. In M mode (which I am enjoying immensely) the compensation dial does not seem to function. I have to resort to Exposure compensation bracketing. As I am no expert, I would appreciate advice if I am missing something??? Thank you in advance for any advice. NP Smith. (Twickenham, UK)
