    The sensor is active when the EVF or the mini-EVF is turned on. Probably explains why the autofocus is slightly faster than just the OVF by itself. Check your settings, not sure if you can keep the sensor to be always active in OVF mode only. It's part of the powersavings to turn off the sensor.
