Thanks for the replies. There is no picture in the viewfinder. There is no lens cap on the lens. When I switch on the camera there is no picture. But I can hear the camera when I place it next to my ear. But when I turn off the camera with the on-off switch, the sound remains. When I remove the battery and then put it back, the screen is totally black and no sound.

When I switch on my XT2 it shows only a black screen. I have switched batteries and SD cards no change. However if I press the display button and turn on the camera. The screen shows the firmware upgrade as 4.31. What's the solution to getting the camera to function. Charlie1946
